Education & Training
Michael Waters, the newest member of Texas Center for Urology, comes from the Alabama coastal region where he practiced for 15 years. He graduated as President of his class at Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1993 and completed a general and urological surgery residency at Michigan State University where he served as chief resident for two years. Dr. Waters is Board Re-certified in Urologic Surgery by the American Osteopathic Board of Surgery.
Dr. Waters has been a clinical faculty member of the Alabama College of Osteopathic Medicine for 4 years and served as a clinical faculty member for Michigan State University for 6 years.
Awards & Recognition
Physician-nominated, Dr. Waters was featured on the cover of MDNews in 2006 and is published in chronic pelvic pain/Interstitial Cystitis. He has won numerous awards for his research and teaching including the Merck Resident Achievement Award.
Dr. Waters is a Champion Consultant for Microgen Labs providing state-of-the-art testing for chronic and difficult-to-treat infections.

Special Interests
Dr. Waters provides general urological care but has a focus in areas of minimally-invasive treatment for prostatic enlargement, prostate cancer, laparoscopic surgery, chronic urological or pelvic pain, kidney stones and sexual health medicine.
Personal
He and his wife Michele, a graduate of Central Michigan University, have two children and live in West Fort Worth.
